When selecting outdoor cushions, the initial decision is the type of cover: waterproof (WP) or water-repellent (WR) or water-repellent tactile (WRT). Overall, cushions using water-repellent and water-repellent tactile textiles tend to provide a more luxurious feel compared to waterproof solution-dyed acrylics..
Tips when selecting covers:
Tip 1: two-tone colors are better at hiding stains or dirt, compared to, for example, solid white
Tip 2: non-tactile textured textiles (WR or WP) dry faster and require less cleaning
Tip 3: consider buying spare covers in a different color, in case one wants to change looks

Waterproof solution-dyed acrylic offers enhanced moisture protection but may feel less comfortable, often perceived as somewhat stifling. This fabric features a laminated back layer that acts as a barrier, preventing water from penetrating the Quickdry foam..
Water-Repellent (WR)
WR
Water-repellent covers made with solution-dyed acrylic are designed to block most, but not all, water from reaching the Quickdry foam core. These low maintenance cushions have a breathable waterproof inner cover that enhances comfort, and avoids water penetrating the foam.
WRT
Cushions made with water-repellent tactile textile, have a Quickdry foam core, covered with a breathable waterproof layer. This carefully selected textile range is heavier (>400 gr/m2) and more textured, offering a softer hand and a luxury experience.

When using MAMAGREEN protective covers for extended periods of time, ensure that the furniture is dry and clean before covering it. It’s also important to air out the furniture regularly to prevent moisture buildup.
Outdoor furniture is a major investment, it’s important to protect your MAMAGREEN pieces to maintain its good looks. Winterizing isn’t essential. It won’t disintegrate in the winter months. But frost, snow and freezing rain can cause some dirt and damage. Store or cover your furniture if possible. Air and clean thoroughly when the spring arrives.
