About the job :
- The Furniture Tester will be responsible to test furniture thoroughly and systematically before they are introduced in the market.
- This position works closely with the designers and the R&D team, and communicates intensely with the marketing and sales teams.
- The Furniture Tester position reports directly to and works closely with the MAMAGREEN Technical Manager.
- The Furniture Tester has a good understanding of materials such as wood, glue, metal and textiles, an excellent knowledge of structural specifications and is familiar with ergonomics, regulation compliance and safety requirements.
- The Furniture tester must be a curious person willing to study and learn continuously.
- The aim of the Furniture Tester is to reduce the risk of returns, improve the brand image and increase customer satisfaction
Responsibilities – What you will do :
- Test new items, materials and production processes
- Manage the in-house lab equipment
- Coordinate with external labs
- Update warranty, maintenance and care documentation
- Review compliance requirements
- Communicate technical sheets to sales and other relevant parties
Experience – What we look for :
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar position preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to show sound judgment and initiative to accomplish assigned
duties/responsibilities without close supervision - Able to work in a changing environment and growing organization
- Engineering Diploma or local equivalent
- Excellent level of written English
- Knowledge of German is an advantage
